Another Air Force helicopter malfunction:
A "resin" helicopter landed today (Thursday) proactively in an open area in the north of the country following a minor technical malfunction during a routine training flight.
There were no casualties in the incident.
Technical staff arrived at the spot to get the helicopter back into operation.
It is important to note that the helicopter crew recognized the malfunction, and decided to make the landing for safety.
The incident takes place only three days after the disaster of the bat helicopter crash off the coast of Haifa, in which the late Lt. Col. Erez Shahaini and the late Major Chen Fogel were killed.
The accident was caused due to a technical malfunction as well and the array was disabled by the Air Force commander.
Captain Ron Birman, who was wounded, was released from the hospital today.
