Animal rights activists protested against the conditions in the meat industry on Uli Hoeneß's birthday in front of the sausage factory he co-founded.

On Wednesday, several activists protested in Nuremberg in front of the HoWe sausage factory, which Uli Hoeneß co-founded - on his 70th birthday.

Animal rights activists took this as an opportunity to start a protest in front of Hoeneß's co-founded sausage factory.

With their action, the activists of Animal Rebellion and Extinction Rebellion protested against the conditions in the meat industry.

They criticize that entrepreneurs like Hoeneß “amassed immense wealth on the backs of animals, workers and the environment”.
