The waste company AWISTA has opened the collection points for Christmas trees in the Starnberg district.
What to watch out for.
District - The Christmas tree has needles and is dry, so it has to go - but in many places collection campaigns are canceled due to corona.
The municipal company AWISTA reacted to this on Wednesday and announced special opening times for the green waste collection points that were actually closed in winter.
Disused Christmas trees can also be handed over to recycling centers.
The disposal options are:
Recycling center: “Of course,” says AWISTA spokesman Sebastian Roth, Christmas trees can be delivered to the 17 recycling centers in the district. You should, however, first use the secateurs to chop the decorated Christmas tree and pack it in a sack. All systems would have opened in January during the known winter opening times (www.awista-starnberg.de/entsorgungseinrichtungen or in the AWISTA app).
Green waste collection points: On Friday and Saturday, the municipal company will open the green waste collection point at the Hanfeld roundabout in Starnberg and the recycling center in Buchendorf at short notice.
The times for the acceptance point at Hanfelder Straße 100 are on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The recycling center in the Buchendorf district of Gautingen (Neurieder Straße 44) is open on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The community of Gilching also offers a free collection option and opens the green waste collection point on Herbststrasse tomorrow, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, January 15, also from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If none of this suits you, you can inquire at the AWISTA hotline at (0 81 51) 2 72 60.
It is manned on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
