Nursultan, SANA- Belarusian forces arrived in Kazakhstan today as part of the peacekeeping mission of the Security Treaty Organization.

Nur-Sultan-Sana

Belarusian troops arrived in Kazakhstan today as part of the peacekeeping mission of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Belarusian media reported that soldiers from the peacekeeping company of the 103rd brigade of the Belarusian special operations forces arrived in Kazakhstan on board five L-76 planes.

Meanwhile, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrinin said in a televised interview that the aforementioned military unit is "ready to carry out such tasks," adding that it "has full determination to restore stability and prevent violations of the constitutional order" in Kazakhstan.

Some regions of Kazakhstan witnessed riots and looting of public and private property, which prompted the authorities to declare a state of emergency.

The Collective Security Treaty Organization had announced earlier today the start of sending peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan to help it protect vital installations and restore security, after the call of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the organization to help his country in dealing with riots and sabotage led by "terrorist gangs trained abroad." “.
