A drink-driving incident occurred in To Kwa Wan.
At nearly 3 am today (6th), a man was reported to be driving a BMW motorhome at the light exit of Ma Tau Wai Road near Tin Kwong Road. There was no response from the driver's cab, so a report was made.
After receiving the report, the firefighter rushed to the scene with a door prying tool, but when the firefighter knocked on the car window, he awakened the "comatose" male driver.
The ambulanceman immediately checked for the victim and confirmed that there was no injury. The traffic police at the scene found bursts of alcohol and conducted an alcohol breath test for the driver.
According to sources, the 26-year-old man named Chen's alcohol breath test showed that the 66-degree reading was seriously exceeding the standard. The police officers arrested Chen Nan for "driving under the influence".
As for the vehicle involved, it was driven away by a friend of the arrested person.
The police stated that they received a report from a passer-by at 2:55 am that a private car was suddenly parked at the junction of Ma Tau Wai Road and Tin Kwong Road and the driver was suspected of having fainted.
The officers arrived at the scene and found that the 26-year-old man named Chen was sober but drunk.
After preliminary investigation, Chen failed to pass the alcohol breath test and was arrested on suspicion of "drunk driving" and is currently being detained for investigation.
