The opposition CDU parliamentary group in Thuringia does not rule out approval of the 2022 budget - but places conditions on the red-red-green minority coalition.
"I see ourselves as an opposition to codetermination," said CDU parliamentary group leader Mario Voigt on Thursday in Erfurt when presenting the demands on the state budget.
He signaled willingness to talk about his parliamentary group's catalog of demands, which also contained changes to the law.
Erfurt - The CDU parliamentary group calls, among other things, to reduce the budget volume from the currently planned 12.1 billion euros to 11.8 billion euros and at the same time to spend more money on municipalities, families willing to build or the digitization of schools.
That can be financed, after Thuringia in the past had an average of more than 400 million euros in household leftovers per year - money that was not spent, said Voigt.

According to previous plans, the budget for this year is to be decided by the state parliament at the beginning of February.
Until then, Voigt sees plenty of potential for conflict with red-red-green.
The government of Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) lacks four votes in the state parliament for its own decisions.
