It is indicated on the website of the Ministry of National Education, in an updated version this Thursday, January 6, that students will no longer be forced to restart their course of three tests if a new positive case were to be detected in their class.
On one condition: if these new cases appear within a period of less than seven days.
The health protocol put in place for the start of the school year, on January 3, provided that elementary and secondary students aged 12 and over, vaccinated, were obliged to be tested for each new positive case in their class.
They first had to perform a PCR or antigen test, then a self-test on D + 2 and D + 4 to be authorized to attend face-to-face classes, if these tests were negative.
From now on, this operation will be valid for seven days and will not have to be repeated even if new positive cases were detected in the class.
However, if the second confirmed case in the class has had contact with students within seven days of identifying the first case, the three-test route will have to start over this time.
