The mobile home of a man from the Weilheim-Schongau district went up in flames.
He was out on the Zirlerberg and was still trying to extinguish the vehicle himself.
Zirl / Weilheim-Schongau
- On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, around 11:20 p.m., a 54-year-old man from the Weilheim-Schongau district was out and about in his mobile home in the Zirl community.
As he was driving up the Zirlerberg, he suddenly noticed that smoke was oozing out from the hood area.
The man stopped the vehicle immediately at the next parking lot and tried to put out the fire in the engine area himself, but he was unsuccessful.
He slightly injured his right hand while attempting to extinguish the fire.
Alarmed fire brigade extinguishes the fire
Only the alarmed emergency services of the Zirl volunteer fire brigade were finally able to bring the fire under control and extinguish it.
Not much was left of the motorhome, however.
The burned down mobile home was secured with barrier tape.
