- The presidential election is the keystone of our institutions. It is the head of state that we will elect next April. Should we accept, and ultimately be satisfied, with such a lowering of the democratic debate? Emmanuel Macron cannot knowingly use provocation to hysterize the political debate. The presidential function imposes restraint and moderation. The electoral campaign must obey a few essential requirements for the stakes of this election. This verbal escalation is not worthy of the crisis that the French have been experiencing for two years.
