President Bashar al-Assad congratulated the sons of the Armenian Orthodox sect who celebrate the glorious Christmas of the birth of Christ, the Messenger of love and peace.
Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs, extended congratulations on behalf of President al-Assad to Archbishop Armach Nalbandian, the Armenian Orthodox Metropolitan of the Diocese of Damascus and its dependencies and through him to all members of the honorable community.
In turn, Archbishop Nalbandian thanked President al-Assad for his generous congratulations and permanent care for the sons of the country, praying to God to preserve Syria, its people and its army, to have mercy on its martyrs, and to reconcile President al-Assad and crown his efforts in restoring Syria's stability and security, hoping that the new year will bring with it all the good for the Syrian people who are facing the unjust economic siege.
