Deri agreed with the prosecution that he would confess to two offenses.
For the first time, the Givat Shaul deal sold a property in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem to his brother Shlomo Deri in 2013.
According to the indictment, the reports submitted to the real estate tax authorities as part of the online reporting forms on the transaction, as well as the sales contract attached to the report, did not reflect its full details, including the amount of consideration.
The combination of the missing transaction details would have allowed the tax authorities to terminate the transaction properly, and set the value of the consideration at NIS 5.8 million, and not NIS 4.25 million, as reported.
Due to the missing report to the real estate tax authorities, the purchase tax that the brother was required to pay was unlawfully reduced.
For this, Deri is accused of aiding and abetting a false statement.
The second offense is income from the American investment fund Green Ocean.
According to the indictment, in 2011 the company began paying Deri a recruiter fee for recruiting an investor to the fund, and starting in January 2013, when he returned to political life, he ordered Green Ocean to transfer the commission amounts he was entitled to to his brother Shlomo.
Accordingly, between the years 2015-2013, Shlomo Deri was paid NIS 630,000 against consulting invoices.
Deri did not include the income, in the amount of NIS 101,074, in the report submitted by the company owned by him in 2013, nor did he keep account books and submit the company's reports to the tax authorities for 2015-2014, thus avoiding reporting income tax to the tax official in the amount of NIS 534,000. These.
In connection with this affair, he is charged with the offenses of preparing a report and incorrect information, as well as failing to submit a report and failing to keep account books.
