Every municipality has to decide for itself how to solve the issue, said Wackersberg's mayor Jan Göhzold at the latest municipal council meeting. Therefore, a request was started with the parents concerned, "how they would like the care". What is certain is that “we have to think about something”, also with regard to the two day nurseries, which are fully occupied with a total of 24 children, said the mayor. On average there are 35 births per year in Wackersberg. In terms of childcare places, Wackersberg is "safely in the back of the district," said Göhzold.
