The Ministry of Education tonight (Thursday) ordered school principals to wait with the start of the antigen testing operation in primary schools.

This is in contrast to the announcement by the Ministry of Health, according to which starting this morning, the Corona trustees will perform the quick tests on students and teaching staff who have been exposed to a verified person.

"The decision on the matter was not in accordance with the Ministry of Education, and did not include an orderly legal procedure," the ministry said in a statement.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health announced that this is a step that will make antigen tests accessible to students and teaching staff, and will save them the need to be tested at supervised stations or using home kits.

The Ministry of Health also yesterday approved a number of vital organizations in the economy to carry out antigen tests for their employees.

This is in order to make the tests accessible to the vital industry and reduce loads from the antigen stations.

Last night, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz announced a new corona outline that will take effect on Friday.

According to the outline, those aged 60 and over and at-risk populations exposed to the patient will undergo a PCR test, while those vaccinated will undergo home antigen tests.

Unvaccinated people under the age of 60 will undergo a supervised, non-home antigen test.

The home tests will not be state-funded.

According to the outline, vaccinated people who came out positive on examination will stay in solitary confinement for ten days, with the option of being discharged from it only with the approval of a doctor.

Unvaccinated will stay in a week of isolation even in the event of a negative test result, with release subject to a negative result in a negative test performed on the last day of isolation.

Since the announcement of the new outline, there has been a sharp rise in demand for home antigen testing kits.

The Super Pharm branch in downtown Jerusalem says that in recent days hundreds of tests have been "snatched" from the shelves every day, and in recent hours some of the inventories, such as the one-time antigen tests, have run out.
