The Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs affirmed that the escalation of the Israeli occupation of settlement operations and demolishing of Palestinian homes in the occupied city of Jerusalem aims to end the Arab Palestinian Islamic and Christian presence in the city, calling on the international community to take immediate action to stop the escalating Israeli aggression.
In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the ministry stated that the occupation’s announcement of a plan to establish 3,557 new settlement units in occupied Jerusalem and demolished 5 Palestinian homes since the beginning of this year is nothing but an attempt to change the demographic situation in the city in favor of the settlers.
The ministry pointed out that hundreds of Palestinian families face the dangers of demolition, displacement and eviction as a result of the practices of the Israeli occupation, which is trying to impose a fait accompli and undermine any chance of establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
