The reform of the testing system came into force; The education system is furious: "There is no reason for the outline to be uneven" Israel today

At midnight, only those aged 60 and over and the population at risk will be able to perform PCR tests. • The rest of the population - home and supervised antigen.

Starting at midnight (between Thursday and Friday), the reform of the system of tests announced by Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz will take effect.

Under the new outline, people aged 60 and over and people at risk will perform PCR tests, with the entire vaccinated population performing only a home or supervised antigen test.

Under the new testing outline, antigen testing will only be possible in primary schools by Corona trustees.

As mentioned, only people aged 60 and over and people at risk will be able to perform a PCR test.

If the result is negative they will be exempt from isolation, if the result is positive they will be required to stay in isolation for ten days.

At the end of those days the discharge is only with the approval of a doctor, when no further examination is necessary.

The entire vaccinated population will perform a home antigen test or a supervised antigen test.

A negative result will be exempt from isolation, in case of a positive home result a supervised antigen test will be performed.

A positive result will require staying in solitary confinement for ten days and discharge with a doctor’s approval.

Here, too, no further examination is necessary.

Also, a vaccinated or recovering person, caring for a minor under the age of 12 or helpless who has been verified to Corona, will stay in isolation until a negative result is obtained in a supervised antigen test performed from the last day of isolation of the patient he is treating.

In case of unvaccinated or unhealthy - people aged 60 and over and people at risk will perform a PCR test.

Negative result - stay in isolation for seven days.

The release is subject to a negative result in the PCR test, which was performed on the last day of isolation.

Positive result - stay in isolation for ten days.

Release only with a doctor's approval, when no further examination is needed.

The general population should perform a supervised antigen test when if the result is negative - isolation is required for seven days and release will be possible subject to a negative result in a supervised antigen test, performed on the last day of isolation.

A positive result means - staying in isolation for ten days and release only with the approval of a doctor, when here too there is no need for further examination.

It is important to emphasize that anyone who is vaccinated with only one vaccine is not protected and is therefore considered unvaccinated and does not recover in the event of exposure to verified and is not exempt from isolation.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health tonight updated the companies that perform antigen tests starting tomorrow, all applicants (vaccinated / unvaccinated) to the antigen positions who stated that they were exposed to a verified patient, will be tested free of charge.

One of the sample companies said that only a few minutes ago they were officially updated from the office that they would also sample vaccinated and that it would be challenging to prepare from tonight to tomorrow with suitable manpower and expected loads.

Chaos in the education system

Meanwhile, the new test outline will take effect starting tomorrow, and as part of it, it will be possible to conduct antigen tests in primary schools only by Corona's trustees.

There was strong criticism from parents of the decision, which does not include high school students.

The existence of antigen tests in primary schools alone is puzzling, because under the new outline, vaccines exposed to a verified patient can go out of isolation after a negative antigen test, while the non-vaccinated will be required to remain in isolation if exposed to a patient even if the test is negative. In the post-primary age there is a higher rate of immunizations than in the primary. While elementary school antigen tests will allow students to continue learning, elementary school students will have to go into isolation anyway in case of exposure. In addition, the parents allege discrimination and the fear that the tests will not be performed at home.

"There is no reason why an outline that makes it easier for students and parents to conduct the tests will not be uniform for all educational institutions. Immediate resources must be allocated for the issue," said Odelia Schindorf, deputy chairwoman of the national parent leadership.

It is the responsibility of the state to provide education with security and to give each child a sufficient value for a month, through which, if necessary, he will examine himself. "To conclude the warning:

Another dispute arose between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, when Education Minister Yifat Shasha Bitton claimed that the decision to conduct tests in schools was made without coordination with the Ministry of Education and without a legal settlement.

Following this, Prof. Nachman Ash and the Director General of the Ministry of Education, Dalit Stauber, talked and agreed on strengthening the cooperation between the ministries.

As mentioned, yesterday the corona trustees in the primary schools were supposed to perform tests on the students and teaching staff, if these were exposed to a verified patient.

In practice, this did not happen.

The Ministry of Education issued a notice stating that the decision on the matter was not in accordance with the Ministry, and did not include a legal procedure required to carry out such an action.

The education minister issued a statement against the Ministry of Health claiming that he was "creating chaos in the education system".

According to her, she urged the Ministry of Health earlier this week to conduct antigen tests at the school: "The Ministry of Health was not prepared with a procedure for carrying out the tests at the school, it informed the Ministry of Education. Nevertheless, it chose to issue a press release. .

The Ministry of Health said: "The ministry is invested in dealing with the disease, and will not engage in slander. An agreement has been reached between the ministries of health and education on a short postponement of the implementation of the move by Corona trustees, to ensure optimal preparation.

As mentioned, renewed cooperation began between the ministries.
