A surveyor living in Tsui Ning Garden, Tuen Mun, diagnosed the case. Earlier, it was suspected to be a case of unknown origin. After epidemiological follow-up, it was found that it was likely to be related to the "Victoria Park Dance Group".

Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor announced that starting from Friday (January 7), local restaurants will stop dinner for two weeks to fight the epidemic.

On January 4, a 42-year-old male surveyor in Block 2 of Tsui Ning Garden, Jumen, was diagnosed (case 12767). He was working in Room A, 13th Floor, Lee Man Commercial Centre, North Point. A close contact of the 66-year-old female patient was initially diagnosed and lived in Galway Building, Causeway Bay. She danced with Case 12754 and about 20 other friends in Victoria Park and Causeway Bay Community Centre on December 31, 2021.

Another maid was initially diagnosed and her employer was also a close contact of Case 12754.

The maid developed fever, cough, runny nose and sore throat on January 2. She was arranged by her employer to move to a foreign domestic helper's dormitory at 177-191A King's Road, North Point on January 4. She was sent to hospital on the same day.

So far, the imported cases of flight attendants may have caused four generations of transmission, and the number of related confirmed and preliminary confirmed cases has reached 10 people.

In addition, the CHP's investigation revealed that the 43-year-old female patient’s employer and eight other persons who were also close contacts of Case 12754 boarded the cruise ship "Ocean Spectrum" on January 2.

There are about 2,500 passengers and more than 1,200 employees on board, and the cruise ship will be included in the mandatory inspection announcement.

As of January 5, a total of 8 people in the Wangyuelou group have been diagnosed, and related cases have visited the above locations.
