Medical research has shown that countries where turmeric is widely used in food have a lower incidence of cancer.
Cancer Research UK charity Cancer Research has concluded that turmeric is an alternative treatment for cancer due to its exceptionally high concentration of antioxidants. "There is evidence that curcumin in turmeric can kill cancer cells in certain cases," the foundation says.
According to the British newspaper Daily Express, the anti-cancer properties of this Asian root vegetable are attributed to its ability to reduce swelling and inflammation. After two months of treatment, the stabilization of the disease was noted by the attending physician, and in the sixth month of treatment there was a significant reduction in tumor mass (80% reduction in tumor size).
