Defendant Chen Litu (also known as Chen Chufeng, 28 years old), admitted to participating in an illegal assembly together with others at Penalty Point 2 in Yuen Long on September 21, 2019; and participating in the Kangle Road Light Rail Station on September 22 of the same year. Riot; and with other unknown persons, intentionally and maliciously harmed the man Zhang Guanxiong.
Chen also denied the crime of criminal damage, saying that on September 21 of the same year, he damaged 8 sets of closed-circuit televisions in Oliver's Super Sandwiches at Penalty Point 2, Yuen Long. The prosecution applied to remain in the court file for this crime.

Damaged CCTV and other facilities with multiple people in black
The case alleged that a large number of people gathered at the Yokohama Shopping Mall in Yuen Long on September 21 last year. The facts allege that Chen pulled the victim out of the taxi
In the early hours of the next morning, the demonstrators moved to the center of Yuen Long. The 52-year-old male victim named Li, who had just left work, was accused of tearing up the post on the "Lennon Wall" and was surrounded and threatened by the demonstrators.
Although Li succeeded in boarding the taxi, he continued to be surrounded and insulted. Some people suspected that Li was sprayed with pepper spray, and some even told the driver to let him go. If he did so, the taxi would not be destroyed. Then Chen pulled Li out of the car.
Li suffered abrasions and head injuries in the incident, and his head needed 7 stitches.
In addition, Chen stated under the caution that he believed Li was just a neighborhood and wanted to tell the demonstrators not to attack him, but then left uncomfortable because of the smell of pepper spray.
The victim surnamed Zhang was accused of being chased and beaten at the scene
Two minutes after the above incident, another 38-year-old victim named Zhang was accused of filming footage at the scene and was also attacked by demonstrators.
Zhang ran away for about 20 meters and fell down. Other demonstrators attacked him with metal rods. Chen kicked Zhang's upper body four times.
Zhang finally fell to the ground and had to sew 16 stitches on his forehead and scalp.
Pleaded for being abused by stepfather and failed to receive good guidance
The defense lawyer quoted Chen's psychiatric report when he interceded, saying that Chen was prone to act without thinking and was more impulsive.
In addition, Chen lost his father since childhood, and his mother and stepfather had 3 children, which made Chen think that he was a redundant existence in the family.
In addition, his stepfather abused him and Chen did not receive good guidance when he was growing up, leading him to commit six crimes related to dishonesty.
Worried taxi drivers hurriedly stepped on the accelerator and injured more people
Chen later pleaded for details and appeared in court to confess. He went to the mall to sing and went to the street about an hour later and saw an older victim Li who was denounced as a "paper-tearing dog" by the demonstrators.
He felt that Li did not look like a bad person, so he stepped forward to assist and took Li into the taxi with another first responder, but the protesters immediately surrounded the taxi. He was afraid that the taxi driver would be frightened and would step on the accelerator to drive. People at the scene were injured, so when others tried to pull Li out of the car, he also stepped forward to help.
Chen said that although he knew that Li was pulled out of the car and would be attacked again, he believed that this situation was "choose one of two." If Li did not get out of the car, more people might be injured.
Seeing Wufang buried his hands and stopped attacking Zhang
As for the victim named Zhang, Chen claimed that he saw Zhang Ta bicycle rushing out of the crossroads that day, calling the demonstrators "Xun Deng" and punching one of the demonstrators.
Upon seeing this, Chen kicked a few shots impulsively, and afterwards he chased Zhang, but saw other demonstrators surrounding Zhang. Chen saw that Zhang had been bleeding without a position, and he left. Chen called him There is no intention to cause Zhang to be so seriously injured.
After hearing this, the trainer said that his confession was inconsistent with the facts, and questioned that Chen was overturning his defense and adjourned the case to continue processing tomorrow.
