In India, a man claims to have been vaccinated against corona eleven times.

The corona numbers in India have recently risen again.

A man probably wanted to protect himself from infection with all his might - and had himself vaccinated eleven times.

New Delhi - The way out of the corona pandemic is through vaccination.

Many politicians and experts have been emphasizing this for months.

There is currently no general vaccination obligation in Germany.

Whether or not you want to be vaccinated has so far been up to you personally.

As a result, while some people forego the spades, others just can't seem to get enough of it.

This is shown by an example from India.

A man there claims that he has had a total of eleven corona vaccinations.

The 65-year-old was recently blown when he wanted to be vaccinated again in the poor state of Bihar, said a local employee of the health authorities of the German press agency.

Now there is an investigation into how this could happen.

The 65-year-old is also said to have registered at the various vaccination appointments with different documents and telephone numbers, reported Indian media.

The man himself stated that he had received the eleven corona vaccinations between February and December in various vaccination centers.

He said, "The vaccine is an elixir of life." In the meantime, he has no longer had a cold and other pains have also been alleviated, the 65-year-old claims.

Recently, the corona numbers rose sharply again in India. As almost everywhere in the world, the Omikron variant is likely to be responsible for this. Most recently, 117,100 new infections were recorded in one day, announced the Ministry of Health in New Delhi on Friday (January 7). Two days ago there were still half as many cases at 58,000. After a violent and fatal wave almost a year ago, the corona numbers were low for months.

In total, more than 35 million corona infections have been recorded in India so far.

With 481,000 reported corona deaths, the country ranks third on the list of the hardest hit countries behind the United States and Brazil.

However, experts assume a high number of unreported cases and an up to ten times higher number of corona deaths in India.
