An opinion poll revealed a decline in Americans' confidence in the country's unity during the electoral system, affected by the riots that occurred on January 6, the storming of the Congress building and the attempt to stop ratification of the victory of US President Joe Biden.

The poll, conducted by ABC, in cooperation with the opinion research company Ipsos, showed that only 20 percent of Americans expressed confidence in the electoral system, noting that this percentage was much lower than in another poll that showed that the confidence rate was 37 percent, which was conducted days after the election.
