25 years ago, an Asus P6300 laptop traveled 600 days into space for use on Russia's Mir space station.
This marked an important moment for Asus, which, to commemorate it, unveiled the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition at CES 2022.
Design
The laptop sports an exclusive Zero-G Titanium color finish and its entire structure features unique astronomical-themed details.
For example, the lid has engravings about space, as well as a 3.5-inch ZenVision OLED screen that shows animations of the universe.

It has a backlit keyboard, 720p HD camera, a fingerprint sensor so you can unlock the device and voice recognition support with Cortana and Alexa.
The laptop incorporates a 14-inch OLED touch screen with 2.8K resolution.
To give it a touch of added resistance, Asus ensures that this Space Edition laptop complies with the testing protocols of the United States Space Systems Command, so it can withstand extreme temperatures (from -24 to 61 ° C) when it is in operation and also resists vibrations from 20 to 2000 Hz.
Regarding the ports, the Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition incorporates a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A input, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0b input, 3.5mm audio jack and microSD card reader.

Performance
The Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition will be available in three Intel processor configurations: Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9, as well as three 8GB, 16GB and 32GB RAM.

Price and availability
Asus announced during CES 2022 that the new Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition will be available from the second quarter of this year and it will be shortly before its launch that the brand will reveal the sale prices.
