A young woman from Murnau hit another car while pulling out of a parking space in Murnau.

Now she is on trial for hit and run.

Murnau

- The attempt was made to get out of the matter lightly, but it failed for the time being: A young woman ran into another car while pulling out of a parking space in Murnau.

She was accused of having left without permission.

At the trial before the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district court, she announced that she had left a note on the windshield of the damaged car.

However, this did not coincide with the information provided by the neighbor who had testified to the police.

Dr.

Benjamin Lenhart could not get a proper picture.

"We need a new date," said the judge and then set the continuation on February 7th.

VW bus touched

The 19-year-old first admitted that she touched the red VW bus on a street in Murnau at around 8 p.m. on May 8th last year when she backed up her seat to drive to get food.

“I got out and looked at the damage.” A neighbor who happened to be passing by also examined the mishap and recommended that the accused write down their name and telephone number on a piece of paper.

After the neighbor left, the student drove the Seat into the garage.

She found a piece of paper in the car and wrote her data on it.

She put the A4 sheet of paper under the windshield wiper when the VW bus drove into it.

She then drove to another car to get food.

Lenhart complained that the neighbor had presented the facts a little differently to the police.

The owner of the scratched vehicle - the damage was 2800 euros - discovered the long scratch in the paintwork the next morning at around 9:30 a.m.

He couldn't find a note on the windshield.

He then reported to the police.

For the sentencing, however, it is now very important whether the young woman really left the slip of paper with her name and telephone number or not.

If not, she faces the risk of her driving license being withdrawn.

Some inconsistencies

“That's not how we do it,” Lenhart shook his head. Some inconsistencies have appeared in the statement of the accused. “That cannot be reconciled with the statement made by the neighbor”, emphasized the chairman, “he described the process differently”. Lawyer Gunnar Geiger made one last attempt. His client had admitted the accident. The defense attorney inquired whether the court did not want to bring the matter to an end.

Judge Lenhart remained firm and denied.

On the one hand, he complained that the defendant did not find out who owned the car or found out about it the next morning.

On the other hand: “It's a quiet street.

Who should take the note away from there? ”Asked the chairman.

In order to clarify the case, the neighbor and the driver of the scarred VW bus are summoned as witnesses to continue at the beginning of February.
