Opinion | Israel loses direction with the enemy Israel today

Iran and its envoys are focused on their goal • But while Iranian President Raisi threatens to eliminate Trump and Pompeo, the US and Israel demonstrate a conciliatory and withdrawn approach • The next campaign is being built before our eyes

Every day something happens that emphasizes the seriousness of the intentions of our enemies, and on the other hand the distraction of Israel from what is happening around it.

Three such incidents have been recorded in the last week alone.

On Monday, Iran and its metamorphoses in Lebanon, Gaza, Iraq and Yemen marked the second anniversary of the assassination of Revolutionary Guards commander Qassem Suleimani.

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has pledged to avenge Suleimani's blood through the assassination of former US President Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Coincidentally or not, on the day Raisi voiced this threat, President Joe Biden's negotiating team was in Vienna to open a new round of talks with the Iranian president's envoys on the renewal of the nuclear deal.

The Americans briefed reporters that an agreement would be signed very soon, even if it was partial.

Last week, the British newspaper "Spectator" published an investigation into the dangerous situation in which the talks are, at the fault of the American delegation led by Rob Mali.

European sources participating in the talks told the newspaper reporter that Mali is "the most extreme pigeon we have ever seen ... he bent down so low that he speaks to Tehran from the height of his knees."

Mali opened the first round of talks with a proposal that the Americans saw as their final proposal.

The Iranians - when they recovered - took the offer as a starting point, and from there began to demand further concessions.

They, for their part, did not offer even one waiver.

It is a liquidation sale in which the Americans are willing, in exchange for an "agreement," to also give up the principle that Iran should not achieve military nuclear capability.

UAV here, missile there

Israel's response to the total American fold, as can be understood from the reports, is to reduce gaps with Washington.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett demonstrated the policy when he said in an interview last week, "We are not a no-no bear and are not looking for a fight, there could also be a good agreement."

So the US strategy is to reconcile with Iran also at the cost of a nuclear Iran, and Israel's strategy is to reconcile Washington.

The day after the talks began in Vienna, in the shadow of the Iranian regime's threats on the lives of Trump and Pompeo, Hezbollah - the organization that has been removed from Iran's control - sent a UAV towards Israel. The IDF dropped it.

The infiltrations and attempts of Lebanese infiltrators, whether UAVs, "workers" or drug smugglers, all take place with the knowledge and guidance of Hezbollah. The organization has complete control over what happens on the Lebanese side of the border.

The Radwan force, the elite unit of combat graduates in Syria and Iraq, was given the task of preparing for "Operation Radwan" whose purpose is to take over an Israeli settlement and take hostages. Israel, for its part, has completed only 14 kilometers of the concrete wall along the border with Lebanon, which is supposed to be an obstacle against such an operation, due to a lack of budget. Offensive plans are not talked about.

And this brings us to the third incident, which is the firing of missiles at Tel Aviv from Hamastan, and the firing of anti-aircraft guns on IDF helicopters that were involved in the minor Israeli response to the missiles.

IDF ministers and commanders present the peace between the two factions against Hamas as proof that Hamas is deterred. But this week, Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh made clear that this was not the case. Hamas has learned to take advantage of every break between the systems to increase its strategic power and capabilities vis-à-vis Israel - whether in developing its missile system, digging its offensive tunnels or building operational ties with Israeli, Turkish and Iranian Arabs. the next.

Striving for contact?

Wait in the meantime

The government, as stated, has decided that it is better not to react harshly to missiles near Tel Aviv so as not to undermine "stability."

This is why its spokesmen detailed the type of response that would come before the planes and helicopters took off.

But the significant event that Israel recently initiated is Defense Minister Bnei Gantz's meeting with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas last week. Gantz and Bennett presented the meeting as an urgent need from a security point of view. Lands in Area C and residency for Arabs from abroad, is a negative connection.

Israel is not improving its security situation as it strengthens the PA's grip on Area C, increases the Palestinian population, and finances salaries for terrorists in prison.

She reconciles Fatah in the hope that the motivation of Mahmoud Abbas and his men to harm us will decrease.

As we tell ourselves stories about Israel's mighty powers, the enemy has built its own power.

It is not based on tanks and fighter jets.

The structure of the power of the enemies - all of them metastases of Tehran - has three layers: missiles, terrorism, and unconventional power.

The missile threat facing Israel is very large, not only in terms of the Middle East, but in comparison to the world.

In a future war, Israel is expected to absorb thousands of missiles a day from Lebanon, thousands of missiles a day from Gaza, and more from Syria, Yemen and Iraq.

These are not only rockets, but also precision cruise missiles.

Currently, Israel is not prepared to deal with this threat.

The purpose of terrorism is to disrupt life in Israel during a war and take over a civilian settlement or to take hostages from a settlement, and to open bargaining moves while firing massive missiles.

Internal terrorism is supposed to disrupt the mobilization of reserves, organizing in gathering areas and equipping the forces, as well as attacking civilians.

What we saw in The Wall Guard is presenting a purpose for a planned campaign.

As long as the Iranian nuclear program is inoperable, the unconventional threat focuses on chemical weapons from Syria and cyber attacks from Iran and Lebanon in particular.

Despite top IDF declarations that Israel is ready, it is difficult to see how this is manifested. There are no offensive counterattacks. Laws in concentrations of Israeli Arabs or for the punishment of rioters from Lod and Acre. There is almost no mention of IDF theory that the war should be transferred to enemy territory as quickly as possible;

Because Israel is no longer trying to seize and hold territory.

Israel does not harm Hezbollah or Hamas leaders.

Israel's enemies maintain focus.

They are goal-oriented.

They are preparing for war, improving capabilities.

They are examining us.

They learn lessons.

Reconciliation is not a security theory.

The heads of state and the defense systems must take the necessary steps, and adapt the forces and resources to the system that is developing before our eyes.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
