In commemoration of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Authority, and their companions, the Palestinian resistance factions held a speech festival today in the town of Sayeda Zainab in Damascus countryside.
The Secretary-General of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front, Khaled Abdul Majeed, presented a historical overview of the long march of the righteous martyrs in the Arab and Islamic nations and the sacrifices they made on the path to liberation, stressing that the pure blood of these martyrs will not be wasted and we will remain on their path until victory.
The representative of Ayatollah Khamenei in Syria, Sheikh Hamid Saffar al-Harandi, recalled the characteristics of the martyr Soleimani, describing him as a brave man, with a great mind and knowledge, pointing out that the strategists testify that the martyr Soleimani was not only a brave military man, but who was planning with complete rationality and looking at matters with a global view.
The official of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization in Syria, Mahmoud al-Moussawi, indicated that the martyr Soleimani was a main supporter of the resistance axis and had great military and political wisdom, and that the martyr Abu Mahdi, the architect of victories and the course of combat operations against occupation and terrorism in Iraq, indicating that thanks to the blood of the two martyrs and their companions, the liberation of Jerusalem and the rest of the lands from the occupation Terror soon.
The festival included the screening of a documentary film about the martyr Soleimani and the reading of poems glorifying the martyrs of the Arab and Islamic nations and their sacrifices.
The festival was attended by a number of leaders and representatives of Palestinian factions, national parties and social, scientific, cultural and religious events.
Lieutenant-General Soleimani and Al-Muhandis were martyred as a result of an American air attack that targeted their car on the Baghdad Airport road on January 3, 2020.
