A Peugeot driver (40) lost control of the car on the A99 motorway on Friday morning for an unknown reason and crashed into the guardrail.
An ambulance happened to pull up at the same time.
Oberschleißheim - As reported by the fire brigade, the Peugeot driver overturned around 6.30 a.m. in the accident at the Munich-Neuherberg junction (in the direction of Lindau).
Lying on his side, he came to a stop just before a traffic sign.
The ambulance crew saw the car and immediately began taking care of the injured person.
He was unable to get out of the vehicle and was freed by the fire brigade using hydraulic rescue shears.
The roof had to be cut open.
A so-called ladder lever gently set the car back onto all four wheels.
Then the seriously injured man could be gently brought out of the vehicle.
Transport to the emergency room
An ambulance crew and the emergency doctor, who was also alerted, transported the patient to the emergency room of a Munich clinic.
The emergency services found an economic total loss on the car.
The police have started investigations into the cause of the accident.
There was traffic obstruction for an hour in the area of the accident site.
The professional fire brigade and the volunteer fire brigade were on site for the rescue.
