RKI numbers: Berlin incidence rises above 500

The number of infections with the corona virus has increased further in Berlin.

5961 new infections were reported within one day, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Friday morning.

Within seven days, a calculated number of 511.5 people per 100,000 inhabitants were verifiably infected with the virus.

The so-called seven-day incidence has thus increased again by leaps and bounds.

Berlin - On Thursday the value was 416.9.

After the holidays, the values ​​were still below 300. The institute had pointed out that less testing and reporting activity could be assumed for the holidays.

The data would thus temporarily “only give an incomplete picture of the epidemiological situation”.

Three other Covid-19-related deaths have also been reported.
