Despite Corona, there is a lot of rush in the Bavarian ski areas - especially at Spitzingsee and Sudelfeld.
The parking lots are full, the streets are congested.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen / Sudelfeld / Spitzingsee - During the Christmas holidays, many winter sports enthusiasts were drawn to the slopes in the Bavarian Alps.
Ski areas such as Sudelfeld or Spitzingsee are currently being overrun by visitors.
"We are being overrun," reported Antonia Asenstorfer on Friday when asked by

.
The press spokeswoman for the Alpenplus ski areas expected a large number of visitors.
"But we didn't think that there would be so much going on."
Big rush at Sudelfeld and Spitzingsee: parking lot full shortly after the start of operations
Asenstorfer reports that the parking spaces are already full at around 10 a.m.
The parking spaces at Sudelfeld were already full on Bridging Day, January 7th, at 9 a.m. - half an hour after the start of operations.
Long queues form in front of the cash registers.
“In normal winters, a family member or a person would pick up the ski tickets for a whole group.
Unfortunately, this is no longer possible with the 2G controls. ”But that doesn't seem to bother the winter sports enthusiasts.
But the ski companies are well prepared.
In order to cope with the storm on the ski slopes, the Alpenplus ski operations have hired additional staff for the 2G controls.
"The fastest way is when the guests in the queue already have their documents to hand and don't just unpack them during the inspection," recommends Asenstorfer.
According to her, the large number of visitors is due on the one hand to the entry regulations for Austria.
On the other hand, people are "just happy to be able to go skiing again."
