Today, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced the fundamental restoration of constitutional order in all regions of the country, noting that the local authorities are controlling the situation.
"The anti-terror operation has begun, the security forces are carrying out intensive work, constitutional order has been basically restored in all regions of the country and local bodies are controlling the situation," Tokayev said in a statement reported by the presidential press service.
Tokayev held a meeting this morning with the participation of the leadership of the presidential administration, the Security Council and the security forces, during which he discussed the operational situation in the country, the course of the anti-terrorist operation and the situation in the regions.
