A clinic in the agglomeration of Tours was the victim of a cyberattack on the night of Thursday 6 to Friday 7 January, leading the private establishment to interrupt its activity, which covers in particular emergencies in the south of Tours, announced the Center. regional university hospital (CHRU).
The computer attack targeted the Léonard de Vinci clinic (Pôle Santé Léonard de Vinci) in Chambray-les-Tours, the CHRU management indicated during a press conference devoted to the health situation.

According to the director general of the CHRU, Marie-Noëlle Gérain Breuzard, the situation remained "
difficult
" in this clinic after an "
incident following a cyber attack
". Forced to interrupt its activity, the clinic switched its emergencies to the CHRU at night around 3:00 a.m. These resumed at the clinic at 2:00 p.m., according to the CHRU. Outpatient and conventional care was still closed late Friday afternoon. The Léonard de Vinci clinic notably covers the maternity center in Tours.
