Last night, a 27-year-old was in a wild chase with the police in Ratingen.

For the man without a license, the frenzy ended in the hospital.

Ratingen - A 27-year-old is said to have fled the police in a daring way in a VW T-Roc in Ratingen in the Mettmann district and was injured in the process.

At times, two wheels of the car even lost traction when turning, the police reported on Friday.

The car passed several red lights at speeds of up to 140 kilometers per hour.

Ratingen: Chase with the police - without a driver's license

Police officers reported that the car was noticed on Friday night.

When the driver noticed the patrol car, he stepped on the accelerator.

The chase only ended when the suspect threw open the driver's door - apparently to flee on foot.

When getting out, a patrol car then hit the driver's door.

"Here, the young man was touched by the police officers' patrol car, which caused the 27-year-old to fall and injured his foot," said the police.

He was also injured in the face during arrest.

He was not in possession of a driver's license.

The officers then met a 31-year-old and a 25-year-old in the car.

"These also did not initially follow the officers' instructions, which is why they had to be forcibly taken out of the car for their control," the police said.

Cannabis was found in the vehicle.
