Wing Order - Lick Your Fingers Israel today

2022-01-07T06:57:19.008Z

Sometimes, all it takes is a fun snack that can be eaten in the living room • And what's better than juicy wings, which must be eaten with your hands?

This week I had a crazy week.

By Thursday I was already with my tongue out, and all I fantasized about was stopping, laying foot on foot, lying on the couch in the living room with a newspaper, enjoying the quiet and relaxing.

Because I was so tired, I had no desire to prepare anything, nor for a big meal around the table.

I wanted to snack in the living room, and if to snack - what could be better than wings?

Wings are the cheapest chicken parts, and I know for many of you they are also considered a slightly inferior raw material that is not used that much, and certainly not given the center stage at a meal.

But in my opinion, every piece has its place and use, and there is no better or worse - there is a fit for the situation.

When you go to buy wings, it is important to do so in a place that you trust and know is clean.

In addition to cleaning the wings, you can ask the butcher to split them for you in two, which will make working with them easier.

And now a warning - wings are very dirty to the fingers!

I have yet to find a way to eat wings without the use of hands, and perhaps that is the secret of their magic.

Just like a snack or chips, fun to eat and the dirt is an integral part of the experience.

So in honor of a relaxed Friday, get three recipes for delicious wings, because sometimes just that's enough - and you just do not need more.

Wings fried in a crispy coating

Materials:

  • 1 kg wings (cook in boiling water for 15 minutes and refrigerate)

  • Frying oil

For the beer dough:

  • 1/2 kg of flour

  • 1 bottle of beer

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • A little paprika

  • A little cumin

For coating:

  • 1/2 kg of flour

  • Little water

For the sauce:

  • 1 cup chopped coriander

  • 3 cloves crushed garlic (recommended to fry a little before)

  • Freshly squeezed juice from 2 lemons

  • Grated lemon peel from 1 lemon

  • 1 teaspoon yellow curry powder (or curry puree)

  • 6 tablespoons honey

  • 6 tablespoons chopped peanuts

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Mix all the ingredients of the beer dough well (by the way, you can add and upgrade the dough with any spice you like).

At the end of the batter should be thick, but still slightly liquid.

If you get too thick at night, add water to it.

Now, for the coating.

To make it crispy, mix the flour with very little water and each time add a little more water, until crumbs like couscous are formed.

The crumbs should be dry and small.

Finally, dip the wings in the beer dough so that the wing is well wrapped, coat with crumbs and deep fry in oil.

Before serving, mix all the sauce ingredients well and serve in a saucepan next to the fried wings.

Wings in honey, lemon and sesame sauce

Materials:

  • 1 kg of wings

For the sauce:

  • 6 tablespoons honey

  • 3 tablespoons soy

  • 6 tablespoons sesame seeds

  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons dry chili

  • 2 flat tablespoons light miso

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

Place the wings in a pan and place in the oven at 200 degrees, for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix all the sauce ingredients well and after baking mix the well-roasted wings in the sauce so that they are well wrapped.

Return the wings for another 5 minutes in the oven - and with an appetite.

Wing stew, pumpkin and hyssop

Materials:

  • 1 kg of wings

  • 2 onions, sliced

  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar

  • 200 grams of pumpkin cubes

  • 2 fresh hyssop branches

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice

  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg

  • 2 teaspoons turmeric

  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

Fry the onion in a deep pan or flat pan for 10 minutes, over a low flame with the lid closed.

Add the sugar and continue to fry for another 5 minutes (the onion should not get colored), add the pumpkin and hyssop and fry for another 5 minutes.

Mix the honey and orange juice in a bowl until a uniform liquid is formed.

Arrange the wings over the pumpkin in the pot, when they are very dense.

Sprinkle over a little hyssop leaves, the honey and orange sauce and the spices, and pour water over everything so that the liquids reach up to half the height of the wings.

Cook for 30 minutes and place in the oven for 10 minutes browning, without a lid.
