The relationship was an ordeal for the young woman.

Violence occurred again and again.

For this, a Heilbrunner (25) had to answer in court.

Bad Heilbrunn - The young couple was happy for a while.

But when the young woman found out that her partner was unfaithful, a martyrdom began that recently came to a legal end at the Wolfratshauser district court.

A young man from Bad Heilbrunn (25) was sentenced to a suspended sentence of one year and four months for several cases of dangerous and willful bodily harm, coercion, deprivation of liberty and damage to property.

It was "a difficult time in life that I was overwhelmed by," says the defendant

He admitted the whole thing because he was "very sorry" for what he had done to the woman, said the defendant in court.

It was "a difficult time in life that I was overwhelmed by."

According to the indictment, his “excessive demands” resulted in massive violence against his ex-girlfriend, who was about the same age, who was spared appearing in court because the accused confessed to all of the crimes he was charged with.

The six indicted cases, according to the judgment of the court only "the tip of the iceberg", started in the summer of 2019 and extended over a period of more than a year.

Broken rib, kicked in the head

The first time he pulled the woman by the hair, kicked her head and upper body with his feet, breaking her rib in the process.

Around four weeks later, he is said to have bumped her head against the door of an apartment in Bad Tölz and dragged her across the floor.

Another charge describes how the man "banged the woman's head against the wall, grabbed her by the neck and choked her so that she was briefly passed out".

After the last attack in October 2020, when he "hit her face several times, dragged her hair over the gravel in the courtyard and rammed his knee into her lower back," the young woman suffered a thoracic and a bruised coccyx and was on sick leave for two weeks.

It was only a happy time at the beginning

At first it was a happy time, without any problems.

“Then I met a new girl,” said the defendant, “from then on things went downhill”.

He tried to “end a relationship”, but this was delayed.

"It wasn't easy to let go," said the young man in the dock.

His lawyer interjected that the ex had "insisted on the relationship, wanted him back".

Perhaps this was also due to a loan of 30,000 euros that the woman from Tölzer had given to her boyfriend at the time.

He found it difficult to repay.

Imprisonment is suspended for four years

"He treated you like a piece of dirt, deceived you about his financial circumstances, had a parallel relationship and made you look ridiculous behind your back," said the co-prosecutor in her plea with her opinion. Even if she came over “more than half-heartedly”, the injured party accepted her former partner's apology. She advised the defendant to undergo therapy: "You will always have a certain degree of abuse if you do not seek help," said the lawyer.

“Perhaps you can think about that”, judge Helmut Berger took up this recommendation in his judgment.

He sentenced the Heilbrunn man to a "very moderate" 16 months' imprisonment, which was suspended for four years.

In addition, the convict has to pay 4500 euros for pain and suffering to his former girlfriend.

The court assessed that he had apologized to the young woman as mitigating the penalty.
