From tomorrow, Daraa Governorate will start selling bread through the electronic card, according to the quantities determined by the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection.
And the director of internal trade and consumer protection in the governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awad, said in a statement to SANA reporter that one person gets four packs per week, two people get six packs, and three people get seven packs.
A family consisting of four people gets 10 bundles per week, five people get 12 bundles, six people get 14 bundles, seven to eight people get 18 bundles, 9 to 11 people get 24 bundles, 12 to 13 people get 30 bundles, and 14 people and above 36 packs per week.
Al-Awad stated that the implementation of this procedure through the card is carried out in cooperation with the Takamol company, indicating that the directorate, in coordination with the concerned authorities, has taken the necessary measures for this, including population statistics, securing devices and distributing them as assets.
The mechanism of selling bread via the electronic card has been implemented since 2020 in Damascus and its countryside through bakeries, accredited, neighborhood committees, Syrian outlets for trade and consumer cooperative societies.
