At least 143 people were killed in terrorist attacks in Zamfara state, northern Nigeria.
The Nigerian Daily Trust website stated that "143 bodies were discovered after the attacks on towns in Anka and Bokuyum regions in the state," noting that "terrorists affiliated with an armed group called (Belo Taraji) are responsible for the massacre."
The website indicated that the attacks included at least 10 villages, where the militants traveled on motorcycles over a period of 48 hours and killed this large number of civilians.
Nigeria is witnessing terrorist operations and attacks in the northeast of the country, which since 2009 have killed about 36,000 people and displaced two million people.
