The website of the hotel "East" located in Taikoo Shing, which is owned by the same parent company as Cathay Pacific, stated that it will become the designated quarantine hotel for Cathay Pacific crew members from February 1, and will no longer accept reservations, while the two restaurants will continue to operate.
EAST pointed out that the government has dispatched staff to inspect the hotel, the guest rooms and restaurants have different air-conditioning systems, and the crew quarantine and hotel restaurant services are also provided by two teams.

After the government tightened its quarantine requirements earlier, Cathay Pacific slashed flights because it did not have enough hotel rooms for cabin crew to quarantine.
The EAST website states that from February 1, 2022, EAST Hong Kong will become the designated quarantine hotel for Cathay Pacific flight crews. The government has dispatched special personnel to inspect EAST Hong Kong to ensure that the hotel complies with the relevant government requirements and will continue to comply with the government’s requirements. EAST is located next to Taikoo MTR Station, adjacent to Cityplaza and Thornhill Gardens. There are footbridges connecting many nearby commercial buildings, including Taikoo Place 1 and Taikoo Place 2.
According to the information on the hotel's website, there are 331 business rooms and guest rooms, with an area ranging from 8 square meters to 60 square meters.
