Wreaths of flowers were placed, in the presence of the Minister, at the foot of a plaque in memory of the 26-year-old policewoman before a sound

As soon as she mentions the brutal death of Clarissa Jean-Philippe, her voice chokes.

And this Saturday, Claude Favra's throat was tied again when, for the needs of the official tribute, she rewound the thread of the events of this tragic January 8, 2015, the day when the municipal police officer of Montrouge was shot, avenue Pierre-Brossolette, by terrorist Amedy Coulibaly.

Microphone in hand, the first assistant had the heavy task of opening, under a fine rain, the tribute ceremony organized, as every year on the same date, to salute the memory of the 26-year-old municipal policewoman.

A responsibility that the mayor, Étienne Lengereau, forced into solitary confinement, could not assume.

Moved to tears, Claude Favra therefore returned - in front of Marlène Schiappa, Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior - on "this fatal morning" during which Clarissa Jean-Philippe, called to intervene after a simple traffic accident, was targeted by Amedy Coulibaly.

“She just had to secure the premises after a trivial collision, still regrets the elected.

But unfortunately she crossed paths with this terrorist, and a simple intervention ended in tragedy.

Faced with the family of the municipal policewoman, Laurent Hottiaux, prefect of Hauts-de-Seine and an audience of parliamentarians, the first deputy of Montrouge then detailed "the fear" and "the deep shock" then felt by any a town.

An emotion that will quickly spread across an entire country stunned by the Charlie Hebdo massacre and the hunt for the Kouachi brothers.

"Clarissa fell under the bullets of those who hate our Republic, our freedom and our values" declared Marlène Schiappa for her part, recalling the criminal route that was that of Coulibaly after his "icy gesture". Route stopped the next day by the BRI police following the hostage-taking of the Hyper Cacher at Porte de Vincennes, where the terrorist claimed four new victims. “Clarissa was one of those men and women who are on the front line against the terrorist threat,” recalled the minister, before placing a wreath in front of the stele installed on avenue Pierre-Brossolette. His example must remain a source of inspiration… ”

A speech that Clarissa's family appreciated as explained by Wilfried, her brother.

“For us, it's a date that revives necessarily painful memories, he slips modestly.

But hearing all these words feels good, it's a sign that Clarissa's memory still lives on, even eight years later.
