NASA's James Webb Space Telescope completed its final deployment of its parasol this Saturday morning, an action the agency noted in a tweet as "its next milestone."

With the starboard primary sunshade now in place, the space observatory that launched two weeks ago is only a few months away from transmitting images from space.
