A British alleged murderer confessed in court that he was inspired by a television series.
Maidstone - George K. is a convicted murderer.
As if that weren't enough, he planned gruesome details, for which he was inspired by a TV show.
In Maidstone, southern England, the 19-year-old was sentenced to 23 years in prison for murder on January 7th, reports British media.
Accordingly, George K. is said to have killed a 38-year-old man with a knife in October 2020 and then stowed it upside down in a garbage can in the winter garden.
The condemned man probably wanted to dispose of his victim in it, because several empty acid barrels were discovered nearby.
The sulfuric acid was in the garbage can, poured over the body of the murdered man until the barrel was filled.
Tried to hide murder with acid: inspiration came from "Breaking Bad"
The 19-year-old confessed to the court that he had the idea for this from the Netflix program “Breaking Bad”.
Inspired by an episode of the first season of the Netflix show, he tried to destroy evidence, reports the British
Dailymail
.
It didn't help him, despite the acid bath, the corpse could be thoroughly examined using new technologies.
It is unclear why the horrific act took place in the first place.
However, it became known from the two men’s phone data that they were in contact about a cocaine deal, the portal continues.
Perpetrator probably boasted after murder at party
After the crime, the perpetrator also boasted at a party that he had killed someone.
Particularly macabre: He got a tattoo from a knife that looks very similar to the murder weapon, writes the
British
Sun.
There was apparently enough evidence to support a conviction that the Briton will now be behind bars for a long time.
Probably little consolation for his victim's five children.
