In the meantime, people in Bavaria take to the streets almost every day to protest against the Corona policy.

Most of the "walks" on Saturday were peaceful.

Munich - Numerous people demonstrated against the Corona measures in several places in Bavaria on Saturday (January 8).

According to the police, about 2,700 people moved through the city in Ansbach in Central Franconia.

There were two counter-demonstrations with a total of around 260 participants.

Nevertheless, everything remained peaceful, said a police spokesman.

Another corona demos in Bavaria: Motorcade with 130 vehicles in Munich

According to the police, around 2000 people came together in Regensburg to demonstrate against a possible vaccination requirement. At the same time there was a counter-demonstration with around 170 participants, some of whom tried to stop the elevator, as a police spokesman said. According to the police, 36 cars drove through the city in a protest parade in Würzburg. At times there were traffic obstructions.

There was also a motorcade in Munich that started at Theresienwiese. According to the city, 130 vehicles were registered. Corona “walks” are still prohibited in the state capital. The city only announced on Friday (January 7th) again that on January 10th and 12th “all stationary or moving demos in connection with so-called 'Corona walks'” would be prohibited in the entire city area.

The general decree serves to prevent a "proliferation of in no way justifiable demos" with partly violent participants, in which neither minimum distances are observed nor mouth and nose covers are worn, writes the city of Munich.

It was not until Wednesday (January 5) that the police arrested numerous “strollers” on Marienplatz.

A fine of up to 3000 euros can be imposed on each individual participant.
