Sometimes children's questions can be as sharp as a butcher knife

Almost a year ago my grandmother, Ruth Dayan, passed away.

A funeral in my family is a news event, but when a radio report of her death caused my son to ask, "Dad, why does everyone know my grandmother is dead?", I did not know what to answer.
