The Ministry of the Interior denied what was reported by some social media sites about an assault on a girl in the Al-Duwayla neighborhood in Damascus, stressing that the news is completely false.
The ministry said in a statement today: "Through examination, it was found that the news that a girl was raped and robbed by one of the drivers in al-Duwayla is untrue.
The ministry called on news websites and social media pages to adopt news from its real sources and not to promote fabricated and false publications, stressing that legal measures will be taken against anyone who publishes false news that affects the security and tranquility of citizens.
