The retention of tennis star and world number one Novak Djokovic could have put the Australian government in an awkward position heading into the Tennis Open.
However, their retention also highlights the refugee crisis in the country of Oceania.
More than 30 of them are currently staying in the same hotel as the Serbian, and some have been there for more than eight years.
