Violence in Bloomfield: Suspects in a brawl throw a burning torch at police officers (Editing: Aviad Ballali)

Ten football fans were arrested tonight (Saturday) outside Bloomfield Stadium, on suspicion of involvement in fights.

As can be seen in the documentation from the scene, people in the arena threw a torch, stones and bottles.

The incident ended with no casualties at the scene.



During an operational deployment of police forces near the stadium complex, police officers noticed a brawl that developed between several people.

When police arrived at the scene of the brawl, they stopped it and arrested ten fans from both camps when a flare was thrown at the police during the handling of the incident.

Earlier tonight, before the start of the football game, police found a torch that had been removed inside a backpack on a fan bus, and was allegedly intended to be lit during it.



Police are preparing for the Bloomfield game, with an emphasis on security, handling public order and traffic arrangements. Meanwhile, during a search of a bus of football fans that arrived near the stadium, police and dogfighters located the torch inside the backpack.
