The Berglerner Seniors' Advisory Board takes the subject of accessibility to its chest and can already show its first successes.

Senior advisor and Vice Mayor Otmar Lerch (PuB) told the local newspaper when asked: "We want to do site inspections."

Berglern - "The mayor cannot be visited in his office hours without barriers." Lerch continues, there is a corresponding law.

And that must be implemented.

The community hall is another topic.

Up the stairs is practically insurmountable for people with disabilities.

The Langenpreisingen neighbors had the same topic, much to the annoyance of the VdK, which had complained that people with disabilities could not follow the public meetings of the municipal council.

The problem was solved by moving the municipal council to the barrier-free school.

Difficult way: first deep gravel, then stairs.

Anyone who wants to attend the mayor's office hours and has restricted mobility needs help.

The senior citizens' advisory board has already looked at various points, especially public buildings, said Lerch.

This will then lead to specific applications to the local council, he announced.

Mayor Anton Scherer, confronted with this criticism, reports: “We are already in talks with the building yard.” What Lerch is presenting is correct.

"We have to make sure that we pave the way to the mayor's office, otherwise the other thing doesn't make sense either." It is still a gravel path, and it is difficult for people with disabilities, even if the steps up to the building have a Help are reasonably feasible.

"In the long term, we have to think about whether we should not move this somewhere else," said the community chief shortly before his short vacation.

"I always have visits from people who are no longer so mobile."

Lerch is pleased that the new supermarket will definitely be barrier-free.

This commitment from investor Adrian Scharl is available.

According to the deputy mayor, further points will follow, because there is work to be done in all parts of the community.
