Due to the increase in morbidity, the opposition chairman and his family asked not to be present in court and to attend a remote hearing.

Justice Amit Yariv, at the request of members of the Netanyahu family, refused to hold the hearing in the lawsuit they filed against former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in a visual conference.

The judge also denied their request after the hearing at, noting that they could leave the house earlier and avoid traffic jams.

Members of the Netanyahu family only remembered this morning (Sunday) to submit a request to the court to hold the hearing on a visual mission due to the corona plague. Judge Amit Yariv was not impressed by their request and wrote in his decision: "As for the request to participate in a remote hearing - such a request the plaintiffs had to submit long ago, and not 24 hours before the hearing. The hearing will take place according to Ministry of Health Therefore, I have decided regarding the plaintiffs' obligation to appear for the hearing themselves - arbitrary and existing.

Judge Yariv also noted that the date of the hearing, including the time, was set more than two months ago.

"It is clear that the security arrangements that accompany prosecutor Benjamin Netanyahu are not a new matter, and therefore I have no choice but to wonder about the timing of the application - about 24 hours before the hearing date. Postpone the time of the hearing to this time, but I will leave the opinion of Adv. Dr. Cohen that the hearing will begin at the appointed time, and as long as any of the parties are not in the courtroom at this time - I will see this as a violation of my October decision.

"The way to avoid delays due to security arrangements is, of course, to leave the house earlier (in which case traffic jams can also be avoided on the way to court or at least some of them). ".
