I am disappointed with the choice of Guillaume Peltier. He is making a mistake of loyalty to our political family, but that is not the main point; he commits a serious fault vis-à-vis the historic moment we are living. The vital urgency for France is to ensure that Emmanuel Macron does not continue for another five years the decade of decline and downgrading of which he has been the main actor since the election of François Hollande.
I say it with solemnity to right-wing voters in their diversity, only Valérie Pécresse is able to beat Emmanuel Macron.
We must rally around it, I say this in particular to all those who trusted me at the congress and placed me in the lead in the first round then brought 40% in the second.
