As-Suwayda, SANA- The Credit Bank of As-Suwayda granted loans worth 5 billion and 720 million pounds during the past year.

Last year, the Suwayda Credit Bank granted loans worth 5 billion and 720 million pounds, benefiting 4,026 citizens.

The director of the bank, Adham Al-Attar, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the granted loans were distributed as 4,020 loans worth 5 billion and 600 million Syrian pounds to people with low incomes from state workers and military and civilian retirees based on the insurance and pension law, and 6 micro and service loans for scientific professionals worth 120 million Syrian pounds.

Al-Attar pointed out that the bank witnessed a demand for loans after raising their ceiling to an amount of 5 million pounds per borrower who meets the conditions and instructions for lending, as well as benefiting from the advantage of pre-payment of loans to obtain loans with new ceilings in addition to the facilities provided in terms of accepting the guarantee of retirees and only one guarantor for loans. Below 2 million pounds.

Al-Attar indicated that during the past year, the bank provided 68,135 various banking services that benefited 19,700 citizens, in addition to providing monthly pension transfer services to about 3,000 retirees, with a total value of about 850 million pounds.

The Suwayda Credit Bank granted loans worth $2.66 billion in 2020, benefiting 2,487 citizens.
