A 50-year-old man was found lifeless tonight (Sunday) in an apartment on Rabbi Kook Street in Ashdod, with signs of violence on it.
Following the incident, the victim's wife was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the act, but it is still unclear whether this was a murder.
Police forces who arrived at the scene found broken objects and broken glass at the scene, which allegedly indicate a confrontation that took place in the apartment.
MDA paramedic Matan Moshe Dushi, who arrived at the scene, said: "We entered the apartment and saw a man lying unconscious and with signs of violence on his body.
We performed medical tests on him, he was without signs of life and we had to determine his death on the spot. "
In another incident, which took place in Lod, a 16-year-old boy was moderately injured this evening by gunfire in the Pardes Snir neighborhood of the city.
The boy was evacuated by MDA to Assaf Harofeh Hospital. MDA medics Eitan Shnor and Noam Ben David said: "The boy was lying on the street and suffered gunshot wounds. We provided primary medical care and stopped bleeding and evacuated him to the hospital. Lod police opened an investigation."
