The number of students opposed to returning to school tomorrow is growing by the hour for fear of the risks associated with the increase in infections. At the moment there are 283,360 high school students who would prefer distance learning until the end of January. This is what emerges from a survey launched last Wednesday (data still being updated) by 17-year-old Martina Toma, school representative of the Ettore Palumbo linguistic high school, who from Brindisi reached many colleagues from all over Italy through word of mouth and thanks to network of school representatives of the ScuolaZoo community. So far, 308 thousand have responded, 92% of whom are in favor of dad.

The risk of "bringing Covid home", Martina explains to ANSA, is also frightening, both for "the safety of fragile people" and for economic reasons: "Not all parents continue to take a salary by not going at work".

Martina also underlines how dangerous it can be "to take a bus teeming with strangers", in addition to the fact that at the exit "500 people crowd into the corridors" waiting for the means of transport "which have also been reduced".

"Tomorrow - he explains - we go back to school with concern and disappointment: concern for ourselves and disappointment at not having been listened to. Even the doctors are suggesting to close the schools because it will be a carnage: if they do not listen to the doctors, they do not listen to the principals, they don't listen to us, on what basis are decisions made? ".

"It is not possible - he concludes - to roll the fate of the students with the dice".
