2022-01-09T10:03:31.140Z

According to the company, the reason for the increase in prices, which will begin tomorrow, stems from an "increase in costs in all relevant areas" • The price for occasional passengers will increase by NIS 2 • Wind subscribers are expected to receive a benefit

As if the increase in the prices of consumer products was not enough, now passengers in alternative transportation are also expected to experience an increase in prices: the cooperative scooter company Wind, which offers its customers electric scooters, will increase the price of travel for casual passengers in the widget starting tomorrow, using a lock release fee.

The price of riding per minute - one shekel - has meanwhile remained the same.

"Wind is the most cost-effective cooperative scooter operator in Israel," the company said in a statement, "and we will continue to provide the most cost-effective alternative transportation solution for riders across the country. However, due to cost increases in all relevant areas, we are changing service pricing "The price of riding per minute remains the same, and a locking fee of two shekels is added to all future rides."

At the same time, the company said in a statement that despite the increase in prices, Wind subscribers are expected to receive the benefit: "Regular Wind riders can now enjoy our new super subscription, starting at NIS 19 per month. "More than 15 minutes of riding is added, which makes riding our scooters even more affordable."

In addition, the announcement said, regular riders will be able to reserve the scooter for free for the first five minutes.

The company's last price increase was at the end of July 2020, from 85 cents to the shekel.

So they explained that the rise in prices is due to the increase in fleet cleaning and maintenance costs due to the corona crisis.

However, the company said at the time that the company would continue with its non-payment policy for opening a lock on Wind's scooters.
